Race and Heart Disease in America: A Path Forward

Race and Heart Disease in America Series.

A three-part series in partnership with the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) Medical Alley Association (MAA) and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA).

This free webinar, produced in partnership with the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC), the Medical Alley Association (MAA) and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA), is the final part of a three-part content series that followed two podcast episodes – thought-provoking conversations about race in America that ultimately seek meaningful change in healthcare.

In the third and final installment of the series, this solutions-oriented roundtable webinar brings together cardiovascular care experts and medical innovators to discuss tested community approaches that address cardiovascular disease inequities as discussed in the previous two “hot topics” podcasts from the series. The panel discussion explores solutions for policymakers to consider.

This webinar features opening remarks from U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal (D-MA), Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee. Roundtable panelists include:
• Paige Bingham, Director, Close The Gap at Boston Scientific
Dr. Icilma V. Fergus, Past ABC President and Director of Cardiovascular Disparities and Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Mount Sinai
• Dr, Karen Larimer, Director, Clinical Development at physIQ
Dr. Kevin Sneed, Secretary for ABC Executive Committee and Senior Associate Vice President; Dean and Professor at USF
