The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), during its July 2018 meeting, awarded the ABC “Accreditation with Commendation” for the next six years, until July 2024. Accreditation with Commendation is awarded to organizations that demonstrate compliance in all criteria and accreditation policies. It distinguishes ABC as a leader in the community of educators committed to advancing healthcare quality through delivering high-quality CME programs that meet the most rigorous standards for educational excellence and independence – and thus directly contribute to making a difference in the lives of patients and their communities. The ACCME also recognized ABC for its engagement with an educational environment that supports physician learning and changes quintessential to a system for quality improvement. This recognition is the ACCME’s highest level of accreditation for the longest duration possible.
