In Memoriam
Kevin L. Martin, MD
1964-2021
The Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. Kevin Martin on February 17, 2021. He was 56 years old.
Dr. Martin was a Cardiologist at Mount Sinai Hospital and a Clinical Instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed a residency, hypertension and cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. He was board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease with special interest in hypertension and stroke prevention.
ABC Past President Icilma Fergus Rowe said in a statement. “Kevin was a gentleman physician at all times – well loved by his patients and peers alike. I had the opportunity to work alongside him on an ABC community project in the New York City area, which turned out to be a very successful event based in part on Kevin’s contributions. He will be sorely missed.
Our hearts go out to his entire family and to his many friends and patients whose lives he touched with his special care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Endowed Scholarship Initiative. Please include “In memory of Kevin Martin, MD” on your check and send it to Mount Sinai Development Office, One Gustave L. Levy Place, Box 1049, New York, NY 10029.
