ABC-NMA Joint Symposium – “The Obesity and Cardiovascular Disease Conundrum” – will highlight cardiovascular risks associated with obesity and strategies for risk reduction.
Program Description: This activity will focus on the review of obesity and its cardiovascular sequelae. It will also highlight the strategies to mitigate these risks, including the key treatment platforms for obesity.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to 1) Describe the cardiovascular risks associated with obesity and the strategies for risk reduction. 2) Describe the treatment of obese patients with and without clinical overt cardiovascular disease.
Target Audience: All healthcare professionals involved in the delivery of cardiovascular care, internists, advanced practice practitioners, cardiologists, family practitioners, pharmacists, and healthcare administrators.
