The National Institute of Health is funding the REBIRTH research study to test whether a medication called bromocriptine can strengthen the heart in women diagnosed with Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (Heart Failure in Pregnancy) when compared to those not taking the drug while all remain on heart failure medication. Women who breastfeed may be eligible to be in a group that does not take study medication.
