Continuing its Spirit of the Heart community programming in Grambling, the Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc. (ABC) brings the centerpiece of the series — a free Health & Wellness Fair open to the entire community — to Grambling City Hall on June 18.

ABC will have a table exhibit and will partner with Care Access Screening to provide various free health screenings.

Free health screenings include:

  • Blood sugar
  • Cholesterol
  • Inflammation
  • Kidney health

No appointment necessary. All screenings are at no cost to attendees.

ABC will also be present later that evening at the We Are One Grambling All School Reunion registration and class meetings with an exhibit and Cardiology Deserts presentation (4–6 PM).

These Spirit of the Heart events are held in conjunction with the City of Grambling’s Juneteenth Heritage Festival and the We Are One Grambling All School Reunion, and are part of ABC’s national Cardiology Deserts Campaign — addressing persistent barriers to cardiovascular care in underserved communities across the South.

The ABC Cardiology Deserts Campaign is supported, in part, by Amgen, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, and AstraZeneca. For the full festival schedule, visit gramheritagefest.com.
