Following the morning’s Health & Wellness Fair, the ABC will host a Community Forum on Cardiovascular Disease in Louisiana — a lunchtime gathering that serves as the second component of its signature Spirit of the Heart program. Lunch will be provided.
This forum brings together representatives from health, faith, government, and community advocacy in a panel-style discussion addressing cardiovascular awareness, prevention, and risk reduction — with a goal of identifying concrete steps that can be taken to improve outcomes in the Grambling community.
These Spirit of the Heart events are held in conjunction with the City of Grambling’s Juneteenth Heritage Festival and the We Are One Grambling All School Reunion, and are part of ABC’s national Cardiology Deserts Campaign — addressing persistent barriers to cardiovascular care in underserved communities across the South.
The ABC Cardiology Deserts Campaign is supported, in part, by Amgen, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, and AstraZeneca.
