Kevin F. Kwaku, MD, PhD is President (2026-2028) of the Association of Black Cardiologists, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2022.  He is Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology for Dartmouth Health, and is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Kwaku holds a BSc in Physiology from McGill University and combined MD-PhD degrees from Columbia University. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC).  Past leadership positions have included Electrophysiology Director and Regional Chief of Cardiology for Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii, and member of the Board of Governors for the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Kwaku is an internationally-recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, and is the author/co-author of numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, webinars and invited presentations.  Dr. Kwaku serves on the editorial boards of several top journals in his field, and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Heart Association. Dr. Kwaku has been dedicated to promoting fair access, delivery and outcomes in quality cardiovascular care for all, and to the development and support of a representative workforce in all aspects of the cardiovascular space.
