An award-winning documentary is coming home to the Delta. Bloodlines, Mississippi, directed by Crystal Kayiza, follows Dr. Foluso Fakorede and his patients as they confront peripheral artery disease, diabetes-related vascular disease, preventable amputations, and unequal access to cardiovascular care. ABC is proud to sponsor this community premiere, presented by Red Owl Partners, at Delta State University.
The evening:
- 5:00 PM: Community health fair, with health education, prevention resources, and community partners. Refreshments provided.
- 6:00 PM: Red carpet arrival and theatre doors open. Festive, “Hollywood best” attire is encouraged.
- 6:30 PM: Film premiere, followed by reflections on what comes next for cardiovascular health in the Delta.
Everyone is welcome: patients and families, health professionals, students, faith communities, and neighbors. No medical background is needed. Admission is free, and advance registration is encouraged. Free round-trip transportation is available from Greenville (departing from Roses) and Greenwood (departing from Walmart).
