Application Deadline: August 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET
2027–2028 Academic Year · Funded by Johnson & Johnson MedTech
The Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) is accepting applications for the 2027–2028 Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Fellowship Support Award, made possible through the generous support of Johnson & Johnson MedTech. ABC will award two (2) $50,000 fellowship support awards to cardiology trainees pursuing advanced subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology. Funds are disbursed directly to the training program, earmarked for the awardee.
About the Award
ABC believes that the physicians who practice and lead in cardiac electrophysiology should reflect the full diversity of the patients they treat. The EP Fellowship Support Award advances that goal by providing direct financial support to cardiology trainees pursuing one of the most demanding subspecialties in cardiovascular medicine — reducing barriers and expanding opportunity for underrepresented physicians in EP.
Award Details
Note: The $50,000 award is intended to provide partial support toward the overall cost of EP fellowship training only.

About This Award
ABC has supported fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology since the mid-1990s — helping underrepresented physicians gain the specialized training they need to lead and innovate in this demanding subspecialty. The current EP Fellowship Support Award, made possible through the sustained partnership of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, continues that legacy and reflects ABC’s long-standing commitment to building a more diverse cardiovascular workforce.
