The program brings together healthcare professionals\, community leaders\, and faith institutions to drive sustainable change at the local level.\n\nAbout Every Heart Counts: Cardiology Deserts Campaign\nThrough its Every Heart Counts: Cardiology Deserts Campaign\, ABC is advancing solutions to expand access to evidence-based care\, strengthen prevention\, and connect underserved communities to life-saving cardiovascular services. ABC’s work in Arkansas reflects this commitment—bringing education\, screening\, and community-centered care directly to areas where access is limited.\n\nLearn more: cardiologydeserts.org

SUMMARY:The State of Electrophysiology: Gaps\, Growth\, and Global Perspectives
DESCRIPTION:Event Overview\nElectrophysiology (EP) continues to evolve rapidly\, yet significant inequities persist across patient care\, workforce diversity\, and global access to EP services.\nThis session will examine the current state of electrophysiology through three critical lenses:\n\nThe patient experience and disparities in care\nThe professional realities of EP physicians\, particularly women and those from underrepresented backgrounds\nThe global landscape of EP program development\n\nThrough focused presentations and a closing discussion\, this program will offer practical insights and foster meaningful dialogue on advancing access and equity in EP—both in the U.S. and internationally.\nLearning Objectives\nParticipants will be able to:\n\nIdentify disparities in EP care delivery and procedural access among underserved populations\nAnalyze challenges impacting workforce diversity and retention in electrophysiology\n\nEvaluate real-world strategies for building EP programs in underserved regions domestically and globally\n\n\nProgram Co-Chairs\nF. Michael Toca\, MD\nManaging Partner\, Cardiac Electrophysiologist\nTotal Cardiology of Atlanta\nAssociate Professor\, Morehouse School of Medicine\n\nIjeoma Ekeruo\, MD\nCardiac Electrophysiologist\nArrhythmia Care Center\n \nAgenda & Faculty\nThe EP Care Gap: Disparities in Access\, Outcomes\, and Patient Experience\nLarry R. Jackson II\, MD\, MHSc\nDuke University Medical Center\n\nInside the Field: Challenges and Realities for Underrepresented EP Physicians\nKelvin Bush\, MD\nSan Antonio Military Medical Center\n\nGlobal Circuits: Building EP Programs Where They’re Needed Most\nOgundu Ngwu\, MD\nKaiser Permanente Cardiology Office\n\nFocus Areas:\n• Health equity in EP care\n• Workforce diversity\n• Global program development\n \nLearn More / Full Program\nFor full conference details\, visit:\nhttps://www.hrsonline.org/event/heart-rhythm-2026/
