DESCRIPTION:The Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) joins the Arkansas Minority Health Commission and local partners for a three-day series of events focused on advancing cardiovascular health equity through collaboration\, education\, and community engagement as part of ABC’s signature Spirit of the Heart program and the Every Heart Counts Cardiology Deserts Campaign.\n\nFriday\, April 17 | Biennial Summit\nNorth Little Rock\, AR (in-person + virtual)\n\n“A Bridge to Care: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Heart Health in Minority Arkansans” convenes national and local leaders to address cardiovascular disparities and advance solutions to improve outcomes in underserved communities.\n\nSaturday\, April 18 | Inaugural Family Fun Day\nLittle Rock\, AR\n\nABC supports a free\, family-friendly community event featuring health screenings\, educational resources\, food demonstrations\, and activities for all ages—bringing heart health directly into the community through Every Heart Counts and Spirit of the Heart.\n\nSunday\, April 19 | Message from the Pulpit\nPine Bluff\, AR\n\nAs part of Spirit of the Heart\, ABC member Dr. Stephen Broughton will deliver a “Message from the Pulpit\,” connecting faith and health by sharing culturally relevant cardiovascular education and prevention messaging with the community and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.\n\nAbout Spirit of the Heart\nSpirit of the Heart is ABC’s signature community program designed to advance cardiovascular health awareness and prevention through a three-part model: a Community Leadership Forum\, a community-based health and wellness event\, and a faith-centered Message from the Pulpit.
