Robert A. Winn Diversity In Clinical Trials Award Programs

Applications for the fourth cohort of the Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials: Career Development Award (Winn CDA) opened January 2, 2024, and will run through May 13, 2024. The Winn CDA is a 2-year program designed to support the career development of early-stage investigator physicians from diverse backgrounds, and physicians who have a demonstrated commitment to increasing diversity in clinical research, to become independent clinical trial investigators who are engaged in advancing health equity through their research.

The Winn Awards are the nation’s premiere program to develop and support the next generation of world class community-oriented professionals to advance diversity in clinical trials. The Winn Awards are led by a team at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and made possible by the support of several funding partners, including the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, Gilead Sciences and Amgen.

The Award

$120K/year for 2 years; requires at least 40% of the scholar’s time (Note: Awards will be given to organizations, not to individuals.)
