Press Release: CMHC Presents Evolving Paradigms in Cardiometabolic Care: Disparities & Advancements

This August, the Cardiometabolic Health Congress will be hosting the 15th Annual CMHC Live Online: Evolving Paradigms in Cardiometabolic Care: Disparities & Advancements. For the first time in its 15 year span, CMHC will deliver this esteemed annual event entirely online. Led by leading clinical experts this conference will present the latest information and updates across the cardiometabolic healthcare industry as well as provide a deep dive into the intersection of social determinants of health and cardiometabolic care through an interactive and easy-to-navigate online format.

The event will begin with an in-depth pre-conference centered titled: Impact of Ethnicity and Race in Cardiometabolic Health. Participants will engage in lectures and discussions on issues such as counseling patients living in food deserts, combination medications in racially marginalized groups, navigating healthcare costs, culturally informed treatment strategies and more. Led by a panel of clinical leaders at the intersection of race and cardiometabolic care, this offering will help participants build a practical strategy through which to effectively navigate the pervasive challenges of inequity in healthcare.

The remaining three days of the conference will provide expert coverage on the latest guidance, updates, and scientific knowledge in advanced cardiometabolic care. On Thursday, Dr. Eugene Braunwald, MD–the Distinguished Hersey Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and the founding Chair of the TIMI Study Group at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital– will present his keynote address: Evolving Paradigms in Cardiovascular Research and Care: Reflections and Perspectives. The remainder of the day will cover the latest FDA updates, late-breaking trials, and a full in-depth session on hypertension, heart failure, and the kidney. Day three of the conference will be split into two sessions: one covering dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis, and thrombosis, and the other providing an expert’s perspective on new diabetes updates and guidelines. On the final day of the conference, participants will analyze the latest in obesity and lifestyle management.

Developed and led by leading clinicians, researchers, industry thought leaders, and more, this online educational event will provide practitioners with top-tier clinical education and actionable insights all from the setting of their choosing. Designed as a direct response to the real-world clinical needs of active practitioners and patients, the 15th Annual Cardiometabolic Health Congress will deliver the most valuable scientific knowledge and late-breaking updates through a clinically equitable lens.
