Description | The Association of Black Cardiologists, Meharry Medical College and Vanderbilt University jointly sponsor one first-year candidate. These institutions aim to increase the number of underrepresented minorities trained to begin post-fellowship careers with a solid foundation in clinical care, teaching and research. Training is provided through the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt. |

Eligibility | Fellowships are available for physicians and physician-scientists who have completed training in Internal Medicine and want to become board eligible in cardiovascular medicine. Applicants must also be active members of the ABC Cardiologists-In-Training (CIT) Program. |

The Award | The maximum stipend to be awarded by the ABC for full-year fellowship is currently US $40,000 per year. This stipend will include salary, fringe benefits and overhead costs. |
